Intend to Relate is a philosophical and educational project developing tools, language, and practices for understanding what we want from our relationships, expressing it clearly, making agreements about it, and learning from what actually happens.

The entity behind Intend to Relate is established.

September 13 — The Declaration of Relational Independence published
One of the project's first public statements introduces the broader invitation to examine inherited assumptions about relationships.

September 14 — Intend to Relate launches online
The first public site establishes a home for the developing framework, publications, agreements, and media.

September 22 — The Intend to Relate Podcast launches
The podcast becomes the project's principal experimental and explanatory medium.

September 28 — To Them Meta-Cast launches
An exploratory parallel project begins developing Volume Three of the larger canon through the creator-audience relationship and the problem of relating toward plural, distant, or unknown others.

October 1 — To Him the Podcast launches
A parallel project begins developing Volume One of the larger canon.

October 1 — To Her the Podcast launches
A parallel project begins developing Volume Two of the larger canon.

October 2 — Relationship Agreements and Conflicting Understandings: A Primer
The project's first introductory book is published.
